I am a PR professional working for IndoPacific Edelman in Jakarta and specializing in corporate communications.

Originally from the U.K. I’ve been in Asia since 1994, when I got an aeroplane for no discernible reason and wound up in Korea. 10 years later I got on another aeroplane and left Korea to work for Edelman in Malaysia. My work for Edelman took me back to Seoul in 2005 and has now brought me to Jakarta.

During my time with Edelman I’ve worked with clients including Hankook Tire, Standard Chartered Bank, Standard & Poor’s, AIG, Temasek and Man Investments. I also headed up international PR for Kia Motors and worked on the international communications for the 2002 World Cup.

300 Words… is the latest in a number of attempts to start a blog to write about anything that really catches my attention, but mostly on communications and branding.  I like to use my own experience as a failed blogger to remind clients why it’s not always a good idea to start a CEO blog…
